All American Events now runs the WSL Midwest Slowpitch events I am excited to announce that as of today I have excepted the position of a WSL Slowpitch Softball Director for the states of Kansas, Missouri and Texas. I am excited to bring WSL to the Kansas City metro area and even down into Texas. I do know that it has been here in the KC area in the past but we are going to try and grow the brand again in our area. As you all know I was employed with USSSA, even though a great organization, they decided that they wanted to go a different direction and with that I wish them the best of luck. I understand that WSL is fairly new to the area, but I also know some teams have played it before. WSL World tournaments are held in gorgeous Panama City Beach, FL and we have had some teams from this area go down there and have a pretty good showing over the last couple of years. I know this area is used to the way softball has been. I’m hoping with a new association I can help change the perception that something different is not a bad thing from time to time. I’m working on giving teams what they want in better prize packages. If people say it enough eventually you’re going to have to listen.
Again, I couldn’t be more excited to bring WSL Softball to the area. I will be working to get my dates out as early as the weekend, but please bare with me. I understand change in the slowpitch community is hard but in the same breathe change is not a bad thing. Some of my dates might look familiar but only thing different is the association it is tied to now. I’m looking forward to bringing you all a new brand of ball. I would hope you will give it a shot. The rules and equipment used in WSL is no different then what you’ve been used too. I’m looking forward to growing WSL and the opportunities it will give to you and your teams.
We are now posting all updates on our facebook page so you need to follow us to stay in the loop.
